長江全長6000多千米，是中國以及亞洲最長的河流。
The Yangtze River, as the longest river in China and Asia, is more than 6,000 kilokilometers long.
它發(fā)源于青藏高原，流經(jīng)11個(gè)省，往東注入東海。
Flowing through 11 provinces, it originates the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and empties into the East Sea.
長江流域居住著約4億人，其中少數(shù)民族人口約占6%。
There are approximately 400 million people living in the Yangtze Basin, among which the ethical minorities account for about 6%.
從唐朝以來，長江流域一直是中國的經(jīng)濟(jì)中心，同時(shí)也是中國現(xiàn)代工業(yè)的起源地。
The Yangtze Basin has been the economic center since Tang Dynasty, and was the birthplace of China's modern industry.
但是，目前長江流域的經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展很不平衡，河流三角洲地區(qū)發(fā)達(dá)，而上游區(qū)域相對(duì)落后。
However, presently the economic development in the basin is imbalanced, generally developed in the Delta region and relatively backward in the upper basin.
簡要解析：
第一句：用as…介詞短語后置的方式使句子顯得更簡潔。
第二句：翻譯時(shí)注意用非謂語動(dòng)詞作伴隨狀語;“注入”可譯為empty into;“起源于”可譯為originate。
第三句：翻譯時(shí)可以用there be句型，這樣后面可以用定語從句將前后兩句連接起來;“長江流域”譯為the Yangtze Basin ;“少數(shù)民族”譯為the ethical minority。
第四句：翻譯時(shí)注意使用現(xiàn)在完成時(shí);“起源地”可譯為birthplace。
第五句：翻譯時(shí)注意省略后面的主謂讓整個(gè)句子看起來更簡潔;“相對(duì)落后”可譯為relatively backward。
